How to explain it to your child
Hide the zero, do the small times table, then put the zero back.
- Hide the zero for a moment. — 7 × 30 becomes 7 × 3.
- Do the small times table. — 7 × 3 = 21
- Put the zero back on the end. — 21 becomes 210.
Example: 7 × 30: 7 × 3 = 21, add the zero back: 210.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
