How to explain it to your child
Every row, column and diagonal has the same total. Find a full line, then fill the gap.
- Add a complete row, column or diagonal to find the magic total. — 30 + 18 + 6 = 54
- In the line with the gap, subtract the known numbers from the total. — 54 − 9 − 21 = 24
Example: Magic total 54; the missing number is 54 − 9 − 21 = 24.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
