How to explain it to your child
Spot which table it is first, then work it out as usual — the mixed order is on purpose.
- Look at both numbers and pick the table you know better. — 7 × 8 → the 7s or the 8s
- Work it out step by step, or from memory. — 8 × 7 = 56
- Swapping the numbers gives the same answer. — 7 × 8 = 56
Example: 7 × 8 — whichever table you use, the answer is 56.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
