How to explain it to your child

Ask: what times the divisor gives the number?

  1. For 24 ÷ 6, ask: 6 times what is 24?
  2. Use the times table backwards: 6 × 4 = 24. — So the answer is 4.

Example: 24 ÷ 6 = 4, because 6 × 4 = 24.

Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
