How to explain it to your child
From below zero to above zero: count up to 0, then on.
- From the negative temperature up to 0. — −4 °C → 0 °C = 4 degrees
- From 0 up to the positive temperature. — 0 °C → 7 °C = 7 degrees
- Add both. — 4 + 7 = 11
Example: From −4 °C to 7 °C is 11 degrees.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
