How to explain it to your child
Area: length times width. Perimeter: once all the way round — two lengths plus two widths.
- Area: multiply length by width. — 6 cm × 4 cm = 24 cm²
- Perimeter: double both sides and add. — 2 × 6 + 2 × 4 = 20 cm
Example: A 6 cm × 4 cm rectangle: area 24 cm², perimeter 20 cm.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
