How to explain it to your child
Every solid has a fixed number of vertices, edges and faces — count them, don't guess.
- Hold a real object if you can, not just a drawing. — A dice instead of a picture of a cube
- Count vertices, edges and faces one by one, touching each. — Cube: 8 vertices, 12 edges, 6 faces
- On a drawing, remember the hidden back. — Only the front is drawn → still 8 vertices
Example: A cube has 8 vertices, 12 edges and 6 equal square faces.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
