How to explain it to your child
Every brick is the sum of the two bricks directly below it — if a lower brick is missing, subtract from the one above instead of adding.
- Missing the top brick? Add the two below it. — 6 + 9 = 15
- Missing a lower brick? Subtract the known lower brick from the one above it. — 15 − 6 = 9
- Work each row in turn, bottom to top or back down again. — 6, 9, 4 → 15, 13 → 28
Example: Bottom row 6, 9, 4: 6+9=15 and 9+4=13, top brick 15+13=28.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
