How to explain it to your child

Only the last digit matters: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 → even; 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 → odd.

  1. Look at the last digit only. — 93 → 3
  2. Can it be split into pairs? Even. One left over? Odd. — 3 = pair + 1 → odd

Example: 20 is even, 93 is odd.

Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
