How to explain it to your child
Split into tens and ones, double each part, add them.
- Split the number into tens and ones. — 35 = 30 + 5
- Double the tens. — 30 + 30 = 60
- Double the ones. — 5 + 5 = 10
- Add the parts. — 60 + 10 = 70
Example: Double 35: 60 + 10 = 70.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
