How to explain it to your child
Answers in the 5 times table always end in 0 or 5.
- Count in fives. — 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 …
- Or: times an even number ends in 0, times an odd number ends in 5. — 5 × 6 = 30 (6 is even); 5 × 7 = 35 (7 is odd).
Example: 5 × 7 = 35.
Every sheet has a QR code: if your child gets stuck, they scan it and get this explanation step by step — without giving the answer away.
